Description

We present an analytic approach to the study of linear perturbations around general FLRW cosmological backgrounds, governed by generalized Heun equations. The method, that relies on (quantum) Seiberg-Witten curves for N = 2 supersymmetric gauge theories, has proven to be very effective in the analysis of black-Hole, fuzzball and ECO perturbations. Using the scale factor as 'time coordinate', we recover known analytic results for a single-component fluid and address linear perturbations of a flat ΛCDM universe described by a two-transient model. The transitions from radiation to matter and from matter to vacuum energy are governed by a Heun equation and a Hypergeometric equation, respectively.
