. Aurelien: recovered electricity in optical room. Menhir laser seem operational at specs.
. Edu: pillar installation planned for 20th Jan. Undergrad student from Boston will join for pillar stability studies.
Expected delivery for Sept 25 of laser amplifier.
Final discussions with pulse-picker provider are needed.
. Rapid discussion on the recent results obtained by Peter and Davide to assess the impact of Xe cooling on luminosity for Alice. 760nm laser hypothesis has been used for this study.
. Witek reports on recent results by GSI, where they do not use FPC but several lasers. The boost of the ions is about 1.3.
. The question on the next steps for planning optical cavity final design and integration in SPS has been raised. Several technical aspects must be dealt with as formal integration in the SPS, formal choice of movers for motors inside cavity which require updated radiation field estimates thanks to measurements made in 2024 and validation on mockup cavity at IJCLab, formal dimensioning of pumping, formal validation of impedance budget, integration of BPMs and bellows from CERN SPS standards. Since final procurement of elements will be made by CERN, it is likely that most of these tasks must be handled by a CERN personnel. To the best of the current understanding this requires formal approval by PBC to allow involve dedicated ressources.
. A meeting with Davide, Edu, Yann and Aurelien would be useful to understand what can be done in the coming months.
