Tasks for cleaning 508
- Kitchen
- Bring bottles, coffee capsules, … to recycle bins
- Check cupboards for open/expired food
- Remove everything which is not clearly labeled -> put on talbe
- Move electronics from Luis's office to 508 DAQ room -> need car
- I have boxes which can be used
- 508 DAQ room
- Remove broken chairs (also from visitors room and from little room next to kitchen))
- Tidy up, put cables back in cabinet
- Make sure that each computer has a screen, mouse, keyboard attached
- Check if all computer has a label with name, label screen with same name for clarity
- Common safety shoes:
- Organise shoes cabinets per size
- Number shoes per size (36.1, 36.2, 36.3) and make overview of number of shoes we have to put on the TWiki --> ask Hanne for markers
- Label each shoe with ISOLDE --> ask Hanne for markers
- Clean underneath stairs
- Broken equipment etc. to recuperation (-> transport request)
- Experiment DAQ rooms:
- Not frequently used safety shoes to common pool (with agreement of owner -> reach out to owners if not done)
- Helmets:
- Unpack helmets in 508 visitors room
- Make transport request for helmets in bad state in 170 to recuperation - get RP checked
- Check Twiki and add/correct where necessary
- Common equipment
- Welcome document
- Return borrowed electronics to e-pool (green sticker)
- Hanne has collected a few in the hall
- 508 Meeting room
- Write instructions how to use your own computer (do not disconnect cables but make a zoom call and login from the videoconferencing computer, your laptop, potentially also from the projector computer). --> Or find alternative which works.
- Outside:
- Check for equipment/pallets lying around -> make transport request
- Broom to clean all the needles in the outside area between 508 and ISOLDE
End-of-the year checklist
- Gas bottles
- Do you have gas bottles which should be returned? Procedure to return on: https://edms.cern.ch/ui/file/2278255/1/Procedure_BottleReturn.pdf
- Check that the gas bottles you returned were actually picked up
- Chemicals
- Everything up-to-date in CERES?
- Dispose of chemical waste and chemical which won't be used for a long time
- SAS
- Were all transport requests which you made picked up?
- Are there items/boxes which you don't know where to take them?
- Electronics:
- Return electronics to the e-pool
- DAQ rooms:
- Check that you don't use the cable trays as storage points
- Tidy up, send items back to home institutes/waste
- Kitchen:
- Check cupboards/fridges for your food
- Throw away expired food
- Label
- Check cupboards/fridges for your food
- ISOLDE hall
- Are all cupboard, big equipment clearly labeled with an up-to-date contact
- Local team
- Everyone on the right e-groups?
- Pressure devices:
- Check that all dewars are in infor. Update description to something useful ("Miniball LN2 dewar - Apollo" instead of "ISOLDE mobile dewar")
- Check that all safety valves and burst disks are linked to the dewar.
- If you have safety valves/burst disk in a cupboard but not used, update status

Should we move from Twiki to confluence?
Pros of moving from TWiki to Confluence
-
More modern and user friendly interface
-
Easier editing, fewer formatting issues
-
Better page organisation and navigation
-
Clearer permissions and version history
-
Easier for new people to learn
Cons of moving from TWiki to Confluence
-
Migration effort, even if the content is limited
-
Formatting will not transfer automatically, some pages need rebuilding
-
Need to manage two systems during the transition
-
Slight learning curve for those used to TWiki
-
No added benefit from Atlassian integration since other tools are not used
Questions to ask before deciding
-
How many pages need to be moved, and how much time will it take?
-
Does the current TWiki cause problems that Confluence would solve?
-
Will contributors find Confluence easier and maintain pages more regularly?
-
Is Confluence widely accessible at CERN for everyone who needs it?
-
Is there a long-term plan at CERN to favour one platform?
-
Are we willing to maintain documentation more actively if moved?

Title: Deformation in A=144 isobars via Coulomb excitation using the Miniball array
Speaker: Josh Curry (University of Liverpool, UK)
Abstract: Safe Coulomb excitation measurements with Miniball in the IS708 experiment at ISOLDE were used to study predicted octupole deformation in neutron-rich ¹⁴⁴Ba, as well as other A=144 isobars that appeared as beam contaminants. Preliminary analysis shows population of several low-lying collective states - including new observations in ¹⁴⁴Cs. Extraction of E2 and E3 matrix elements using GOSIA will be performed to give a better understanding of the shapes and collectivity of these neutron rich nuclei.Speakers: Carlotta Porzio (CERN), Hanne Heylen (CERN), Jessica Warbinek (CERN)
