        SOLEIL II: Challenges from ultra-low emittance lattices 25m

        SOLEIL II is the ambitious 4th-generation upgrade of the French synchrotron light source, located near Paris. To achieve a 100-fold increase in photon brightness, an advanced lattice and magnet design is required. In this talk, I will present some of the challenges arising from such a design—specifically regarding magnet alignment, diagnostics, and correction needs—and highlight my contributions to the project.
