Talk-for-Guides: ELISA - the proton accelerator installed in Science Gateway
(Photograph: Pralavorio, Corinne)
ELISA is the small accelerator in Science Gateway, a unique visitor attraction and much more!
Serge Mathot, an applied physicist at CERN who was responsible for the mechanical fabrication of the LINAC4 RFQ (Radio Frequency Quadrupole) and who now leads the ELISA project, will give us insights into the design of the ELISA accelerator, its public demonstrations, and its applications in surface analysis.
The talk will take ~45 min. with time for questions afterwards.
The location has been changed from Globe to Auditorium C in Science Gateway. You can just enter through the Science Gateway reception and the bridge, as usual.
Presentation in English | A recording is planned (no live zoom event)
