For the first episode, we welcome Dr. Federico Vazzoler, former Postdoctoral Research Fellow at DESY (FSP-CMS) and now Fraud Strategy Quantitative Analyst at PlayStation in Brussels.

What does a career after academia really look like, and which skills are companies actually looking for? Federico will share insights into his transition from particle physics to industry and reflect on transferable skills. He will highlight how analytical thinking, statistics, and machine learning translate into decision-making in an industrial environment, discuss how his day-to-day work differs from academic research, and be happy to address the questions participants have always wanted to ask about careers beyond academia.
