When adding all detailed insulation layers and assembly gaps (margin) in the layer jump area, we identified an issue in the dimensions.
The layer jump enters into the aperture.
3 different proposals showed by N. Peray. He also showed the possibility of doing non-symmetric ends (on each magnet side).
ACTION ITEM:
- We keep symmetric coil ends
- We go for Option 3 (we increase the angle by 1 degree and slightly modify the ramp length). The coil gets longer by about 3 m
- We will update models and results accordingly
