Summary
- Thomas presented details of the QNL and QTL magnet measurements.
- It was decided that the standard transfer function used in future will be from the 2023 measurments.
- A gitlab repository has been set up to collate analyses and data.
- The effect of hysteresis on the transfer function was discussed. It was noted that the uncertainty in the magnetic field could be quite large due to this.
Actions
- All Add relevant data and material to the git repository.
- Dipanwita/Luke Plot and compare the QNL and QTL transfer functions from YASP and the EA database. Before 31st August ECN3 meeting
- Kevin/Francesco Upload the new magnet transfer function (based on the 2023 measurements) to YASP ready for a test in the final week of operation. Before end of proton beam run
- Perform test of new transfer function in operation. Before end of proton beam run
- Thomas/Philip Develop a plan to measure the impact of magnetic hysteresis on the magnet transfer functions. To be discussed in the next ECN3 TF meeting
