1) Organisation of the Workshop on competence frameworks and career development at International Research
1.a Assessment of speakers’ availability
· CERN: confirmed
· FAIR Center: confirmed
· EMBL: not available on the selected date, but willing to share material
· ESA: not available on the selected date, probably willing to share (they voted in the Doodle for a different date – checking whether the availability indicated there was for attending or presenting)
Since only a few speakers were available for 7 October, it was agreed to postpone the workshop to a later date, so as to engage as many infrastructures as possible and make the most of this opportunity for exchange.
A communication will be sent shortly to the Working Group, together with a new Doodle to choose the workshop date.

1.c Questions and discussion
· Clarification on expectations: what exactly do we expect to be shared? The key point for us is an explanation of the basic structure of the competence framework developed in each organisation, along with information on how far it is used internally (e.g. for appraisal, career paths, framing of employees).
· Importance of mapping competences in a uniform way to enhance cross-mobility with industry. Example from FAIR Center, plus sharing of a study conducted within EMBL on the career paths of PhD students and postdocs. (Link1; Link2)
