The 5th DRD1 Collaboration Meeting is being organized. A full week for the community to present and share their scientific and technological research activities and achievements is being prepared. Please get in touch with the Working Groups conveners if your group plans to contribute.
- WG1: Technological Aspects and Developments of New Detector Structures, Common Characterization and Physics Issues
- WG2: Applications
- WG3: Gas and Materials
- WG4: Modeling and Simulations
- WG5: Electronics for gaseous detectors
- WG6: Production and Technology Transfer
- WG7: Collaboration Laboratories and Facilities
- WG8: Knowledge Transfer, Training, Career Promotion
Your active participation to the fill Collaboration Meeting is key to the success of our collaboration, and we encourage you to contribute with your research activity, experience and views during the meeting.
DRD1 Topical Workshop Towards Sustainable Gas Mixtures for Future Detectors
Please note that the meeting will host a topical workshop, “Towards Sustainable Gas Mixtures for Future Detectors” organized by the Working Group 3 Conveners.
The aim of the workshop is to provide an overview and foster discussion on regulatory, safety, and operational challenges related to gas mixtures for detectors used in HEP and beyond. Topics include emerging regulations (e.g., PFAS, flammability), safety concerns, procurement and cost issues, and technical strategies such as gas recycling and eco-friendly mixtures. The workshop also aims to promote collaboration among DRD1 researchers, gas suppliers, chemists, and environmental experts to develop sustainable solutions for detector operations.
If needed, a CERN visitor pass can be requested by completing the registration form.
