      EFT meets CFT 1h

We consider five-loop renormalisation of higher-dimensional operators in general $\phi^4$ theories, providing a new synergy between EFT and conformal field theory (CFT). The anomalous dimensions computed in dimensional regularisation ($d=4-\epsilon$) are not only suited for EFT running, but become scheme-invariant and directly observable quantities at the conformal (Wilson-Fisher) fixed point. At $\epsilon=1$, this gives data for an important class of 3d CFTs, which includes the famous Ising CFT. To characterise the spectrum of a CFT, we need to go beyond singlet scalar operators, considering cases with general flavour symmetry and in various Lorentz representations. I will explain the need for high-loop estimates for these operators within the modern study of CFT, especially the bootstrap programme.
