IT String tests results - W-bellows intra magnet interference issues

1-Presentation of the motion tests results and the outcome concerning the bellow stiffness

Main outcomes are that the W bellow stiffness induce an important coupling during roll motion and that the 1mrad adjustment specification after closing of the bellow will not be achievable as is.

Torsion modes create loss of contact on jack and the limits have been estimated in the presentation but a more detailed computation would be necessary to come to a conclusion on the adjustment capabilities. This would depend on the position of the components, its weight and the neighbouring components characteristics.

2-Discussion on further action

-MS to contact OP and surveyors responsible to the magnetic fiducialization to present the current status.

-DR to investigate the possibility to create a coupled model in order to get a better estimation of the limits.

-Depending on the outcomes, further testing time could be requested at the IT string to have a better understanding of the subject.
