    • Support Stats
      • Increased pressure due to the migration to a new CAD/PLM environment
        • User Adoption
          • Users face a learning curve with the new environment compared to previous tools (SmT/CDD).
          • Peak in 2025 for CAD/PLM requests considered normal after migration (in reality peak started in Sept. 2025)
        • Time to solve issues
          • While request volume tripled in 2025 compared to 2024, the time required to resolve them increased fivefold. This is due to the need to investigate and document entirely new issues.
        • Technical Issues
          • The low-quality connector is causing significant issues (around ~25% of the problems), translating in excessive load for the support team.
      • Effort Support Stats
        • 2 FTEs per week for support can handle the load for now
        • Objective is to squeeze down that pink bar bring it close to the 2024 blue bar.
      • Support analytics
        • Breadown these numbers in components (PWB connector, PLM, etc., etc.) will help to reduce the effort

      Interventions & Support Stats 5m
      Speaker: All

      - Peak that is normal because of the migration

      • 2FTEs dedicated to support

    • 11:25 11:55
      Round Table 30m
      • Beata 5m
        Speaker: Beata Swiatlowska

        PLM Support:

        • 3 tickets regarding the data lost when switching between windows when working with big assemblies.
        • AutoCAD titleblock editor issue: the user had just the "server error" when generating the titleblock without nothing more. Going more deeply I found out that in the table with "modification" on the drawing, there is a limit for 75 characters and one of the modification was longer than that. Deleting some space solved the problem, but we need to be aware the next time when we see an error like that.

        Testing:

        • Many task in test moved to OK for the upcoming release.
        • Cleaning the Jira board from the tasks in the backlog and testing "ready for test in prod".

        General:

        • After the meeting with ACE-group user and I had a little proposal for the DEV summer student what she/he can work on to improve the Digital Twin Viewer. I already sent it to Jorge.

      • Benoit 5m
        Speaker: Benoit Lepoittevin (CERN)

        Current production packages Vs. Win 11

        -> I've added a few PCs in the NSC "CATIA with PLM PWB Connector Win 11 BETA TEST"

        few remarks:

        1. Ask the user first and inform him/her that it is a non-supported solution. And that it is better if he/she can access a second WS in case of trouble
        2. We need to make sure to update this NSC when a new version of the connector (or CATIA) will be released. Not automatic synchronisation with the "normal" NSC.

        CATIA V5 upgrade:

        What's new?  - Doc available here: https://cern.sharepoint.com/sites/PLM-CAD-workspace/CollaborativeTempWorkspace/CATIA%20V5%20R27%20upgrade/changelog_28_35.xlsx?web=1

        A few nice improvements already spotted out:

        • foreign CAD tool import format
        • STEP export, latest protocol supported (AP242 Ed3)
        • new additional way to select geometry in the 3D space: only what is in the foreground
        • Product Data Filtering (generate AllCATPart etc...): a few new options that can be useful for simplification
        • Part Design: multiple holes, blend corner...

        Revit connector: Meeting with EN/CV

        Rather good positive feedback.

        At the end, a few open issues have been fixed by Revit methodology & tool. From Mathieu Archambault, the connector for Rvt2026 can be used in production as is.

        Only two non-blocking issues to be addressed:

        • visible viewport (frame) on the 2d conversions, to be hidden.
        • 3D conversions non available (current Hoops version does not support native RVT26 format)

        Jiras to be created (BL)

        Project Dashboard Development kicked off

        Goal
        Establish a shared, consolidated single source of truth data-driven view (dashboard) of exiting services and operations to baseline our "performacnce"

        Method
        Divided into three logical stages:

        1. Establish the requirements / needs, systematically identify relevant metrics, volumes, and data limitations
        2. Iterative approach with prior stage; Explain support demand, what patterns exist and what conclusions can be drawn from it. Eventually decide on a concept
        3. Consolidate on other dashboards and reporting stack (BA&Dev), Tool TBD

        Output
        A common reporting tool for service owners (us), and mgmt. (Joao/Antonie/David, etc) that can contribute with insights for our short-term/long-term roadmaps. Tool / Platform TBD

        More details about stage 1 below

        EDMS Consolidation Project:

        • MTP Request Document ready to be submitted
        • Project Proposal ready

        EDMS Support and Introduction training delivered on January 28th.

        Discussion about PLM Access Rights with MME, Integration, CMS and AMS representatives.

        They are asking for major changes to the Design Code logic since too many people have Edit rights on data:

        • Design Reviewer and Equipment Owner roles should not have Edit rights on data, they should only be able to perform controls.
        • Contributor role should not have Edit rights on data as well --> One possible solution could be to remove Edit rights on CAD Documents only. The impact would be that the RPG should become mandatory and the Contributor would contain the list of people that can assign a Design Code to the Part and launch the Design Verification Workflow

        The second point should be further discussed internally. In any case the RPG is for them the most important Edit rights driver since it contains the list of people working on a given project (managed in GMS). Design Codes are not maintained.

        We should launch the discussion with CL section about Access Rights management based on the information we have in Naming Portal. The objective is to delegate the access rights management to the business areas.

        DMU migration

        Today: only works in Catia with SmarTeam
        Goal: make DMU functional in Catia with PLM

        Initial plan:

        • weekly meetings between IM and ACE people involved in the project;
        • understand who has which knowledge;
        • improve documentation;
        • understand what is needed to move forward with the migration (dev side);

        This week:

        Internal meeting (IM only) to plan the next steps;

        Confluence page - to be created;

      • João 5m
        Speaker: João Fernandes (CERN)
        • IT infrastructure meeting (following the incident concening the certificates)
        • Contribution to the EDMS MTP request (Claudio)
        • T-Systems meeting to improve the PWB development process
        • 1:1s first round complete
        • NVIDIA Omniverse
          • Starting a requirement analysis for the Digital Twins
          • 3 summer students proposals submitted (Drew/Jorge/Noa/myself)
          • Pilot deployment with EN-ACE use case to be started next month (Oracle)
      • Pierre-François 5m
        Speaker: Pierre-Francois Marcillac (CERN)

        CAD licences monitoring dashboard

        • Meeting with Line and Carmen
        • Edit rights granted to PLM Service on current licence monitoring Dashboard (Link)
        • PWB Connector licences monitoring to be implemented
        • Alerts to be set/adjusted when approaching the limits for PWB connector and CATIA licences

        Time-out issue while saving "flat" CAD Structures:

        • RQF3456583 -> Almost solved
        • 1086 Documents on 1st level
        • Probably resulting form STEP import
        • Timeout after 30 mins
        • CERN Toolbox also times out
        • Workaround: Create sub-products to replace CATIA Components on 1st level

        Impossible to save an Assembly:

        • RQF3587346 -> Solved
        • CATIA and Connector freeze for several minutes when clicking on Save
        • No dialog nor wrning message nor error appears and in the end nothing happens...
        • CERN Toolbox made the save possible
        • Still no clue what the core issue is
        • Difficult to report it to TSI...
        • Only noticeable issue is the list of documents with "invalid" file name (%VERS_1) on opening of this assembly:

        Need to create enhancement task to trigger TB Editor being automatic launch while creating new major version of a drawing:

        • Major quality issue !
        • Already reported by several users
        • Last request about it: RQF3551889
        • Introduce confusion for users and their customers since information may temporarily be wrong on In Preparation drawings (but it may last for a while !)
        • SmarTeam behaviour was really safe
        • Must be implemented the same way for all CAD Tools
        • Also force users to fill the modification reason and / or Modification Zone on creation of new major version
        • Add an extra pre-condition in the WF precondition report to check that default pre-filled modification reason is not there anymore on the drawing (to force users entering a valid reason)

        Design Code assignement / propagation tool sub-optimal:

        • Needs to be reworked to allow propagation on Parts if there is a Master 2D CAD linked to it that do not have a CDR assigned yet
        • Different behaviour when clicking in the Design Code field or the pencil icon -> Not user friendly at all !
        • Enhancements tasks to be created
      • Yoan 5m
        Speaker: Yoan Pamphile (Ministere des affaires etrangeres et europeennes (FR))
        • Aras Data Quality:
          • Part versioning management task with Nathan: PLM-8796
            • Ready and being smoke tested together with Nathan:
              • Logic to create the missing revision for floating Approved/Released/Replaced CAD Documents coming from migration and which other related CAD Docs to be attached to each version.
              • Logic to handle the minor versions created after the last Approved/Released CAD Docs version (concerning only ownership switched CAD Docs)
            • To be done/decided:
              • Decision on whether to handle or not the floating approved non CAD Documents and attached them to the part. If so, specification to be done. Will discuss this point with Per-Olof
          • CDD only migration: PLM-8664
            • Checking with Drew the status (Not sure about the advancement, not getting much feedback from him)
            • This job will trigger other fix we will have to do for the EN-EL guys that are complaining about weird versioning migration (caused by questionable legacy methodologies) P-F assigned me to another new ticket about yesterday.
          • Other:
            • Do a meeting to present the logics after the smoke test are considered as acceptable, and work on modifying/polishing the specification. (Meeting with: Nathan, Drew, Per-Olof, Beth, Joao)
            • Start to work on the knowledge transfer with either the new comer and/or Clarissa and/or another Dev/BA
            • Waiting for the review of Antoine A on the fix I suggested for the wrongly named CAT files: PLM-9012
            • Testing other tasks from aras data quality

        • AOB:
          • Support PLM and EDMS.
          • 2 to 1 meeting with Joao and Per-Olof for transition
          • Signing resigning letter, with end of contract set to 28.02.2026
    • 11:55 12:00
