Seismic requirement for HI-ECN3 service cell (and service building)
Présent: Claudia, Melania, Marco, Pavol, Gemma, Jamie, James, Jean-Louis
It has been agreed follwowing a discussion between the different to apply French seismic regulation (Zone de sismicité 3) for the design of the service cell being in line with Construction regulation.
Marco provided after the meeting the following text to be cinluded in the technical specification for the service cell design study.
The same regualtion will be applied for the service building.
Jean-Louis will recover the soil category from SCE.

Dear Jean-Louis
As requested and in light of what was discussed in the meeting of this afternoon with RP colleagues (in cc), I propose this sentence for the technical spec for the service cell:
“The seismic action to be considered in the structural design is defined by the French ‘Arrêté du 4 octobre 2010 relatif à la prévention des risques accidentels au sein des installations classées pour la protection de l'environnement soumises à autorisation’, which prescribes a reference peak ground acceleration on type A ground, agR equal to 2.42 m/s2. Referring to the Eurocode 8 (NF EN 1998-1), such a value shall be magnified by the related Soil Type factor S. The Soil Type to be considered herein is <<to be confirmed by SCE>>”
For the bridge crane runway beams, you can put something like:
“Bridge crane runway beams shall be designed to withstand the load conditions defined in NF EN 1991-3 and shall be verified in accordance with NF EN 1993-6, and the related French National Annexes”
You can also attach the design requirements by EN-HE, if available.
At disposal for any further clarification.
Best Regards,
Marco
