Description

The presentation will give a brief description of the ITER Project, focusing in particular on the Project Controls aspect. This will provide you with an overview of the governance and organizational aspect, as well as the principles and methodology best practices followed in ITER.

The speaker is member of the ITER Project Controls team. In her 12 years at ITER, she was involved in several processes in Project Controls: Budget Management, Change Management, Performance Monitoring and Reporting. She developed in particular a recognized expertise in Earned Value Management. She is identified as “Subject Matter Expert” as reviewer of any changes requested to the Cost Baseline.

She has been in charge of all reporting aspects to the different stakeholders (reports specification, development, updates, quality assessment + preparation of dedicated sensitive reports for our governing board). In this regard, she is responsible of coordinating a team of 3 contractors.

As part of the central team, she also acts as advisory or trainer to their deployed team to guide them on the most appropriate method to apply in their project management 

The Project Control Infrastructure section in ITER is responsible of defining the methods tools for all processes linked to Project Controls and Budgetary aspect. It covers: Scheduling, Cost estimating, Budget, Risks, Reporting, Performance Baseline change control.
