Meeting agenda

The recording of the meeting

Because we were short on time, we did not do a "round table" introduction of the people connected—our sincere apologies. We look forward to meeting you during the event.

This meeting was intended to be an overview of the ASP2026 scientific program. There are 4 activities planned during the period of July 5-19, 2026:

  1. University students program, July 5-19, 2026. We briefly reviewed the agenda. This program covers many topics reflected in the majors / areas of concentration of the students. We showed the profiles of the selected students and suggested how best to adapt the lectures to majors and academic levels of the students.
  2. The ASP Forum, planned for July 10. Mounia presented the objectives the ASP Forum and recalled highlights of previous ASP Forums. Then she showed the specific agenda of the 2026 Forum. We agreed to work with the LOC to consider the local officials that will speak at the forum while minding the time in order to avoid excessive delays as the event enfolds.
  3. Prof. Kaduki presented the agenda for the high school teachers program, planned for July 6-9, 11. It was suggested to include computing and AI; Prof Njeri responded these are integrated into the design of the program for teachers.
  4. The high school outreach program is planned for July 13-17.

The International Organizing Committee (IOC) will call a meeting every 2 weeks on Tuesday at 13:00 UTC. We understand that this time does not work for everyone and we don't expect everyone to connect every time. During each meeting, we will discuss a specific aspect of the organization of ASP2026.

The LOC has its own meetings. Colleagues in Kenya who would like to get more involved should approach Sister Mary.

Prof. Kaduki and Dr. Kenneth Cecire also organize meetings about the programs for teachers and high school outreach. Please contact them if you wish to be involved.

There are minutes attached to this event. Show them.
