Machine learning early detection systems for pulsar timing arrays

I will talk about some work in preparation on the use of machine learning methods for the detection of gravitational wave (GW) signals in pulsar timing array data. Our methods use lessons learned from anomaly detection at particle colliders and achieve comparable sensitivity to the stochastic supermassive black hole binary GW background of dedicated analyses while offering orders of magnitude reductions in processing time and offering easy extension to other signals.
