EPF-EMI meeting 19.10.12
Minutes:
- News
- Too many news from the last 37 weeks, so none mentioned (though there were two family extensions since last meeting)
- Milestones MJRA1.17 and MJRA1.18 due in two weeks [1]
- MJRA1.17 - standards test suites in place. Due end of October, will not be ready until December. Will be discussed at the EMI AHM in Budapest. Management is informed about the delay.
- MJRA1.18 - open standards adopted across EMI areas. Due end of October. Very aery milestone title and description. Boils down to finishing http://www.eu-emi.eu/standardization-matrix and write up a short milestone report. Will be most likely (hopefully) be finished in November.
- Jon takes care of MJRA1.17, Weizhong takes MJRA1.18
- Code-freeze 31th October
- Everything under control?
- code freeze more of a checkpoint for deciding if can be done
- David - closed his task
- Aleksandr - have many tasks which will not be closed
- tasks do not need to be closed before code freeze
- tasks are done when there is no more coding. For tasks where there are no coding, decisions on "done" or not needs to be taken one by one
- Weizhong - one task is unclear (Adoption of CaNL), Weizhong will contact Balazs
- All-hands in Budapest
- Who's going?
- Alex, Weizhong, David, Aleksandr, Jon
- Anything we need to prepare?
- Aleks will go to EMI-ES integration test, Weizhong to canl session, David to compute and data, everyone to standards testing session
- ARC pre-meeting 10:00 AM Monday
- Should ask what is ARC's position on the ScienceSoft repository
- AOB
- Should have discussion on Oslo post-EMI
- Need Farid for that. To be discussed at next meeting.
- Farid's at NeIC meeting now, might have news after that meeting
- Farid optimistic that there could be EU project on ATLAS, much more focused
- Next meeting in November - possibly F2F

- Alex has stuff the first week
- So meeting in week 46 or 47, possibly F2F
