What if humanity could start everything from scratch? What would we do differently?

In week 1, students from the Centre Dark Matter and Swinburne University of Technology will mingle with student teams from TU Delft, University of Amsterdam, ESADE and UPV. During this week, CDM participants will have the chance to observe and interact with the students teams and attend different masterclasses: from value proposition design to prototyping and science communication.

During week 2, we will be lifting our lenses from Earth and traveling to an earth-like exoplanet to envision how a society might function there. We will focus on the survival phase at landing.

By making order of magnitude calculations and systemic impact assessments, you will be able to look at societal systems in a holistic and comprehensive manner. This perspective will allow you to consider possible ripple effects or unintended consequences of your actions and ideas.

You will experience exponential thinking, be challenged to think beyond the status quo, and collaborate, ideate and prototype solutions to complex problems

You will also visit CERN facilities such as the Antimatter Factory, the Synchrocyclotron and CLEAR (depending on availability). Additionally, you will have the chance to interact with CERN personnel and discover more about how physicists push the frontiers of science.

---------------------

From the 28th to the 30th July, we will be joined by members of the Shortwave Collective, an international feminist group using the electromagnetic spectrum as artistic material.
They will join us for our i2Planet adventure, while also sharing more of what they do!
