Candidate location in T11 between T11.MQNE008 (blue quad) and T11.MBXHF010 (green dipole).
Located around S = 9m and experiment around 27m giving 18m for time-of-flight
Likely KF 40mm flange to be used in T-shaped vacuum piece
Vacuum piece will be ready from CERN ~end of May
Installation foreseen during operation in June during best opportunity. Would take 1/2 day.
Potentially high rate of 10^7 to 10^8 at this point in the line.
Agreed not a SiPM to be used in this area due to radiation. Only conventional PMT.
Cables should be prepared for ~25m. HV + Signal.
Actions
Laurie - basic simulation for S = 9m to predict rate
Philippe - 3D model of T-shaped piece to give to P371 team
Will meet on Friday 20th to rediscuss.
