We are organizing a Scientific Visit to CERN for students from the Departments of Physics, Astronomy and Space Sciences, and Faculty of Engineering at Istanbul University (+Cerrahpaşa), who are enthusiastic about exploring CERN and the cutting-edge experiments conducted there.
During this visit, participants will receive an introduction to CERN, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), and the major experiments currently in operation. The program will include visits to large-scale experiments such as CMS, ATLAS, and others. An outline of the general agenda can be found in the timetable, and further details will be shared with participants at a later stage.
The visit is planned to take place between 06.07.2026 (arrival) and 10.07.2026 (departure).
All expenses will be covered by the participants.
We look forward to welcoming students who are eager to deepen their understanding of particle physics and large-scale scientific research.
