The 21st COMPASS “Analysis Phase” International Mini-Workshop (COMAP-XXI) will be organized jointly by the COMPASS and AMBER collaborations and will take place on November 23, 2026 at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland.
The workshop will be held in a hybrid format.
The scientific program of the series of COMPASS "Analysis Phase" international mini-workshops is focused on the topics traditionally addressed by the COMPASS collaboration:
- Spin and 3D Structure of the Nucleon
- DIS, SIDIS, DVCS, DVMP, Drell-Yan measurements
- TMDs, GPDs and GTMDs
- Fragmentation Functions
- Meson Structure and Spectroscopy
- Search for Exotics
- Monte-Carlo simulation tools and techniques
- Technical aspects and analysis techniques
The 21st edition will be organized jointly by COMPASS and AMBER and will focus on modern software frameworks for event reconstruction and physics analysis. The workshop will bring together experience from different experiments and projects, including COMPASS, AMBER, BM@N/NICA, EIC, and NA64. Particular attention will be given to frameworks such as Gaudi, FairRoot/FairSoft, Key4hep, and JANA2, as well as their architectures, capabilities, and practical applications. Discussions will also address the challenges of migrating between frameworks, their long-term maintenance, and possible solutions for future experimental programmes.
The workshop aims to foster discussion and exchange between experimentalists, tracking and reconstruction experts, and developers, with a focus on methodological developments, practical experience, common challenges, and perspectives for future applications. It will also contribute to the activities of the COST Action SHARP, promoting collaboration and exchange within the community.
