14th November 2025
Dear all,
We have just deployed the dedicated BLM thresholds for the 2025 Ion Run. The thresholds are the same as in the end of the 2024 Ion Run, and they have been checked against the collimation loss maps taken over the weekend. For the case of channelling in B2H, the updated loss map with improved cleaning of yesterday morning (13th of November) has been used.
The following table shows a summary of the power loss limits for the master thresholds in RS09 (1.3 s integration time) at top energy for each dedicated ion family in IR7 for the cases of channelling, amorphous and volume reflection. To be noted that during operation, the allowed power loss is lower as the BLM in collimation families have a monitor factor of 0.6, and the BLMs in the DS have a monitor factor of 0.333.
The families for the TCT and BFPP BLMs are the same as in 2024. In the next days, we will monitor if additional modifications are needed.
Please let us know if you have any comments.
