o Fons: Make a tag for the beta
o ROOT: Converge with a fix for TNetEx
Philippe:
o Checksum issue: the checksums are different in Root5 and Root6
* Working on it: the problem will be solved ~next week
o Meanwhile, the checksum can be ignored (as it is now in CMS)
Fons:
o The Root6 beta tag is the milestone before the May release
o We will have of course several intermediate checkpoints between now and may
o The experiments can continue to work with the tip of the master if needed
Marco:
o The TExNet is a showstopper: w/o it, Castor cannot be read blocking the large scale validation of LHCb. Non local files cannot be read.
o Only local validation is now possible
Wim:
o OSx 10.9 as expected has problems with PyROOT
o Fons works on that but the priority is not having ROOT6 on OSx 10.9
Bill:
o The CMSSW area of conditions will improve quite a lot after a patch submitted by Andreas
o The work on the conditions is not finished yet: Paul is working on the items which are still missing
Andrea:
o ROOT-5765: Some of the ifdefs, for example to recognise C++11, are not recognised in rootcling
o Easy to reproduce, ROOT will follow up
