LHCb-UK Annual Meeting and UK Upgrade II Planning Meeting

5-7 January 2022

Remotely hosted by the University of Edinburgh

This meeting will now take place remotely, following latest government and university guidance.

The 2022 LHCb-UK Meeting will be split into two sessions. The first will be dedicated towards UK efforts on LHCb Upgrade II (afternoon of Wednesday 5th and morning of Thursday 6th). The second will follow the format of previous LHCb-UK meetings (afternoon of Thursday 6th and morning of Friday 7th) celebrating the achievements of the collaboration and looking forward to prospects for the coming 12 months.

It will be possible to register for either event individually or for both.

A comprehensive and interesting programme of presentations is planned with contributions from across the LHCb analysis working groups. There will also be opportunities to showcase the soon-to-be-completed Upgrade and consider how the UK should focus its physics efforts. As is traditional at these meetings, priority will be given to junior members of the collaboration who wish to highlight their work.

Lunch will be provided on Wednesday for those at the Upgrade II session, on Thursday for those at the Annual Meeting session, and on Friday for those attending the Steering Board Meeting.

On Wednesday evening, for those who participate in the Upgrade II sessions, there will be an upgrade dinner somewhere near the university, details tbc.

On Thursday evening, the collaboration dinner will take place near the university, details tbc.

A closed session for the Steering Board is expected on Friday afternoon from 2pm-4pm.

Registration will open on 1st November and close on 10th December so that numbers for catering and the dinners can be determined in adequate time. In person attendants are expected to book their own accommodation but please do not book accommodation/travel until details of the meeting have been confirmed.
