Description
Beginning of 2014, a small R&D programme was launched to preliminary assess the feasibility of joining superconducting wires thanks to HERF (High Energy Rate Forming) technologies. Samples of splices between Nb/Ti wires embedded in a copper matrix were realised and tested. After a brief introduction of the company, the work carried out in this frame will be described and the preliminary results presented.
