Information Discovery technology is much more than just representing data. It must unlock understanding, facilitate exploration and spot hidden insights. Those are clearly essential concepts to enable more intelligent decision-making processes and therefore, more efficient operations. The key challenge is to ensure easy data access, flexible interaction and dynamic visualisation to heterogeneous data from different sources and domains. The presentation shows the CERN openlab approach for an Information Discovery as a Service infrastructure based on Oracle Technologies, which overcome the previous issues. In addition we will demonstrate how this architecture allows us to find patterns, discover relations between critical domains and track potential faults with the objetive to improve CERN’s daily-based operations.
