Throughout the LHC project fieldbuses will be required to connect and control equipment and devices of various types where it will be necessary to integrate both industrial equipment and custom designed devices.
The CERN working group on fieldbuses has recommended CANbus, PROFIBUS
and WORLDFIP, which are now supported at CERN.
This seminar will give users from CERN and outside institutes the possibility to assess the latest developments in the area of CANbus and the CANopen Application Layer and Communication Profile.
