Description
As a LabVIEW user, you will have gained experience of the powerful nature of the National Instruments software platform. In the same manner that LabVIEW plays an important role as a software tool for solving virtual instrumentation applications, PXI (PCI eXtension for Instrumentation) performs the same role for the hardware platform. In recent times, the PXI platform has become a platform of choice for performing automated measurements, as well as for high-end control applications. It is an open source product and currently receives support from some 48 commercial companies. See: http://www.pxisa.org/ for more details.

To get a better insight to the PXI hardware platform and how it can be combined with your LabVIEW software, the CERN LabVIEW support team and National Instruments Switzerland have put together a seminar covering various topics around the PXI platform. It will consist of a technical presentation as well as live demonstrations of PXI equipment demonstrating how it can be used, and will also give an insight into possible application areas. The PXI modular instruments range from NI is large and covers high-speed digitizers, signal generators, digital multimeters and RF devices. On the controls side there are data acquisition devices, motion controllers, reconfigurable hardware devices available.

This seminar will give you an insight into the powerful PXI platform. Everyone, whether a current NI user or not, is welcome to attend.
