Fortnightly meeting for technical topics looking further ahead than the weekly ops meetings on Tuesdays. There are also dedicated storage group meeting on Wednesdays. Each topic can go beyond the nominal 5 minute slot whenever necessary.

Compute

ATLAS are running the VAC in the background, however there is not a lot of work at the moment.Liverpool report that they are getting little work (possibly because the VAC vms are all single core). Andrew is working on multicore s VMs.

 

Storage

Alexandra has been given a mandate to look into lightweight sites, This will help with the lack of experimental engagement thatwas previously reported. Being UK specific ScotGrid are looking at federating storage for ATLAS. The DPM workshop (in Paris) is the the week after next and so there will be conversations about this there.   

Security

David Crooks reported a very useful security session at the preGDB this week. David reported on the Security Operations Centres working group and the Traceability working group. Many of the dangers are common to both Grid and Campus security and so there will be a new working group working on the sociological elements. This will be a collaborative effort.
