MedAustron Treatment Room

The OMA consortium is happy to announce the Advanced School on Medical Accelerators and Particle Therapy, open to participants from within and outside the OMA network.

International experts will deliver lectures on cutting edge medical physics technology over a 5 day workshop. The school will cover topics within particle therapy including Radiobiology, Beam Diagnostics, 4D Imaging and treatment delivery. It will also include a poster session and tour of the MedAustron facility.

The OMA network addresses challenges in treatment facility design and optimization, numerical simulations for the development of advanced treatment schemes, and in beam imaging and treatment monitoring. This school will bring together lecturers with expertise to address all of these subjects.

The school is organized in partnership with MedAustron and TU Vienna.

The cost for participating is £850, which includes training, accommodation with breakfast, coffee breaks and lunches (Monday - Thursday). The fee also includes a welcome reception on Sunday evening, a guided tour of MedAustron on Wednesday afternoon and a formal dinner on Thursday evening.

A fee of £800 will be offered to PhD students who choose to stay in double occupancy. 

Several scholarships for early stage researchers outside the network will be available.
