One of the goals of the Medicis Promed network is to support the medical use of radioisotopes in medicine. Particle therapy is a major contributor to the medical application of accelerator technology and may yet be improved by the use radioisotopes to improve traceability of applied dose. The scope of this workshop is to show how a technical implementation of 11C radioisotopes in an accelerator based particle therapy center could be achieved. Ultimately resulting in a technical design report for the implementation of 11C at therapy centers like CNAO and MedAustron.
