CineGlobe 2025 – Entrelacé

Un festival immersif, gratuit et inédit au CERN

Du 14 au 18 mai 2025, CineGlobe revient au campus du Portail de la science du CERN. Gratuit et ouvert à toutes et tous, le festival propose une immersion unique au croisement du cinéma, de la science et des nouvelles technologies.

Inspiré par l’intrication quantique et l’art du montage cinématographique, le thème de cette édition, Entrelacé, explore les liens profonds entre narration et réalité. En partenariat avec Virtual Switzerland, CineGlobe proposera une zone immersive avec des expériences en réalité virtuelle, mêlant créations suisses et internationales.

Soirées

🔹Mercredi 14 mai à 20:00 – Soirée d'ouverture : The Thinking Game. Un documentaire sur Demis Hassabis et DeepMind, suivi d’un échange sur les avancées en biotechnologie et en médecine générative. [Inscription obligatoire]
🔹Jeudi 15 mai dès 18:30 –  Soirée immersive et rencontres : "La science: l'entrelacs invisible de l'art immersif ?"
🔹Vendredi 16 mai à 20:00 – Cérémonie de remise des prix. Projection des films vainqueurs de CineGlobe 2025. [Inscription obligatoire]
🔹Samedi 17 mai à 19:00 et 21:00 – CineGlobe x Nuit des Musées. Soirée Live Cinema, où des musiciens improviseront en direct la bande-son de contes et légendes projetés à l’écran.
🔹Dimanche 18 mai à 14:00 –  Film de clôture : Omni Loop 

Ateliers pour petits et grands

🔹 Moviola : transformation d'une vieille bande de film à l'aide d'une aiguille à gratter et de marqueurs pour ensuite voir votre création prendre vie sur grand écran.
🔹 L’écran d’épingles : une rare technique de gravure animée revisitée par l’artiste Alexandre Noyer.
🔹 Tetra Pak camera : création d'un appareil photo à l'ancienne à partir d'une brique de lait.
🔹 Zootrope : créer du mouvement dans vos dessins et produire votre propre séquence animée.
🔹 Cinéma de Georges : création de votre propre film avec un mini-studio forain inspiré par Georges Méliès

CineGlobe 2025 – Interwoven

An immersive, unprecented and free festival at CERN

From May 14 to 18, 2025, CineGlobe returns to CERN’s Science Gateway and the Globe of Science and Innovation. Free and open to all, the festival offers an immersive experience blending cinema, science and new technologies.

Inspired by quantum entanglement and film editing, this edition 'Interwoven' explores deep connections between storytelling and reality. In partnership with Virtual Switzerland, CineGlobe presents a unique immersive zone featuring Swiss and international VR experiences.

Evening events

🔹Wednesday 14 May at 20.00 – Opening Night: The Thinking Game. A documentary on Demis Hassabis and DeepMind, followed by a roundtable on biotech and generative medicine. [Mandatory registration]
🔹Thursday 15 May from 18.30 – Immersive evening & round table: "Science: the invisible interlacing of immersive art?"
🔹Friday 16 May at 20.00 – Awards ceremony. Screenings of the winning films from CineGlobe 2025. [Mandatory registration]
🔹Saturday 17 May at 19.00 and 21.00 – CineGlobe x Nuit des Musées. Live Cinema Night, where musicians will improvise soundtracks to classic tales and legends on screen.
🔹Sunday 18 May at 14.00 –  Closing film : Omni Loop

Workshops

🔹Moviola: transformation of an old film strip using scratching needle and markers to see your creation come to life on the big screen.
🔹The pin screen: a rare animated engraving technique revisited by artist Alexandre Noyer.
🔹Tetra Pak camera: making an old-fashioned camera out of a milk carton. 
🔹Zoetrope: discover an image wheel that allows you to create movement in your drawings and produce your own animated sequence.
🔹Georges' cinema: create your own film with a mini fairground studio inspired by Georges Méliès
