Our one year project is named "Science in Frontier: Expanding the Knowledge Limits" (in Portuguese: Ciência na Fronteira: Expandindo os Limites do Conhecimento). The audience are 14-18 years old students within vulnerable social conditions that have an interest in Science Topics. Once a week we have a virtual meeting mediated by the Zoom platform where we discuss advanced topics in science, like Dark Matter, Black Holes, Quantum Mechanics, and others. Our activities are hands-on and most of them are adaptations of the Perimeter Institute Educational Resources (Waterloo, Canada) for the virtual environment. We have six interns (3 undergraduate in Science Areas and 3 high school students) that mediate the activities and help the students. As the majority of our participants are women (75%) we reserve some time to talk about women in Science and highlight the important contributions made by female scientists. In this context, virtual visits are an opportunity for the students to see people and laboratories that produce new knowledge and maybe inspire themselves to reach a STEM career.
