        I will review the main features of the LHeC design and discuss whether CLIC technology could be used for the LHeC machine as well as possible other LHeC-CLIC synergies. In a second part of this presentation I will report news, impressions and results from a recent visit to KEK, covering items like the ATF2 collaboration meeting, ATF TB & SGC meeting, ATF&ATF2 status, SuperKEKB plans, CSR studies, and digital accelerator.
