The results from experiments measuring the thermal performance of two magnet coil samples of D11T and MQXF, each in superfluid helium will be presented. The steady state and transient behaviour is used to estimate helium content in the samples. Numerical models are validated by simulating behaviour and extended to peak power deposition loads in magnet coil layers.
