Description
I will summarize the state-of-the-art of the phase diagram of strongly interacting theories as a function of the number of flavors, colors and matter representation. I will introduce the Conformal S-parameter correlator and compute it to the one and two-loops orders within the conformal window and motivate the presence of a universal lower bound on the opportunely normalized S-parameter. The existence of possible dual descriptions of nonsupersymmetric gauge theories will be argued. I will show that the same two-point function can serve to probe the very existence and dynamics of the duals. Finally a complete and satisfying picture of the S-parameter for any nonsupersymmetric gauge theory emerges which is used to constrain models of dynamical electroweak symmetry breaking.
