Description
Thin and flexible micro thermoelectric generators (𝜇 -TEGs) are being envisaged as alternative power sources in the last decade [1]. They constitute a new business opportunity for the packaging industry such self-powered wearable mobile electronics and/or to be used on remote places for low power consumption devices. One approach to achieve this goal are by producing thin films using composite pastes composed by inorganic material and polymeric matrix to fix onto the flexible substrate. This strategy is the one that unveil better achievements in the last few years and more promising due to low-cost production and the easy to scale up to the market. Bi2Te3 has been recognized as a prime TE material with the best performance values for RT applications. The current challenge is the combination of Bi2Te3 materials with a polymeric matrix towards the production of a printable paste without loss of TE properties [2].
