Description
Lucas, Vidmantas, Marzena and I met up yesterday afternoon to discuss different ways to organise and structure content in a Drupal site. We talked about so many possible ways to organise content (taxonomy, views, path, book, menu...) that we thought it could be useful to have a 'show and tell' session for Drupal site administrators and content creators to share their experiences and best practice. If you would like to join us, we are meeting next Wednesday (8 September) at 9am. Lucas has booked a room in the CMS Centre: 354-1-0016. There's no formal structure for the meeting, but we could maybe share approaches to: - Content types - Menus - Views - Taxonomy As a starter perhaps I could explain how I use view arguments to display content by creation date for the new CERN website such as /news/2010/August/ (using Path, Pathauto, Date, and Views). If you are planning to come, please drop me an email so that we can keep an eye on numbers and let you know of any changes to time or venue. Also let me know if there is anything you are particularly keen to share or explore. Dan
