      Welcome and Introduction 15m

      Dear colleagues,

ASFAP is presently calling for the submission of Letters of Interest (LOI) concerning all domains related to physics in Africa. The goal of the meeting is to help the submission of LOIs by collecting and structuring information on existing facilities and projects in instrumentation. Therefore, the main purpose of this meeting is to identify the most important future needs with respect to instrumentation in all fields of physics in Africa.

We invite and encourage of all ASFAP working groups and colleagues, to participate. All colleagues concerned by the future of physics in Africa, and interested or active in instrumentation, are cordially invited to attend.

To maximize the discussion, we would like to limit the time for presentations. For that purpose, It would be very helpful if you could summarize your goals and needs prior to the meeting in 1-slide (see attached template for your convenience) and submit it to ASFAP-Instruments-Detectors@cern.ch.

      Regards,

      Ulrich, Nieldane and Paul
