Tape Challenge

• quickly went through the summary slides (link in the agenda)
• Q&A on "optimal usage of tape resources (slide 19)"
  • what sites control
  • what experiment controls
  • the long tail on the plot will be investigated by both sides (ATLAS). 
• Monitoring plan
  • highest priority is to include xrootd traffic, and have a consistent representation of experiments data on central monitoring
  • then to address the network monitoring with sites that belong to LHCOPN/LHCONE  
  • longer term to look into integrating more site (tape) monitoring with central MONIT 
  • site monitoring will be restricted to T1 level, not include T2s (too many) 
• GGUS communication tickets with sites will be closed now. 
• this meeting wraps up the tape challenge post-mortem. We will pause the tape challenge meeting, resume it early next year, when the next tape challenge comes closer.
