Here are some notes concerning actions to be taken in the coming weeks:

  • WP0.2: organise a meeting with Tor, Frank and Oide to try to answer the questions raised in Alexej's presentation:
    • which bunch-to-bunch stability: charge and energy
    • bunch distance
    • charge modulation for top-up 0-100%? how much, upper limit?
    • bunch charge 
    • 2-bunch or bunch train
  • WP3: organise a meeting every two week with SY/STI in the context of WP3: organization of the work
  • WP4: start the tracking simulation for the electron in the transfer lines after the linac 1
  • WP4: organise a meeting to try to define the parameters of the DR. For example the accelerating voltage should be low to have less effect from CSR while should be higher to increase the longitudinal acceptance. Clarify the injection scheme and fix the dynamic aperture and longitudinal acceptance for the design of the linac 1.
  • WP0.2 (from Steffen): a reorganisation of the layout would make it possible to avoid an area of the injector with many devices, e.g. think of moving linac 1 to the right of the DR. To be discussed in a WP0.2/ meeting.
  • WP3/WP6: AMD device: last poit is the definition of the bore diameter for the vacuum chamber. There are two requests that go in the opposite direction. Reducing the diameter would make it possible to keep costs down for the experiment at PSI with the disadvantage that the device will definitely be different from the one used at the FCC because the target has to be cooled.
