• Outcome, status of anodization

The four formers (inner and outer) shall be shipped to metrology shop from anodization company this week 02. The two outer tube should be shipped one week later.  VI will request to central workshop the anodization thickness measurement for our record.

• Planning of remaining AP1 SC wires spools rewinding

Last five remaining AP1 spools being respooled by Bertrand this week. The ten AP2 spools will be prepared from beg February according to schedule. To be discussed with HF and winders the possiblity to procure 10 extra empty plastic spools to bring flexibility in task work and float for future similar coils.  

• QC electrical tests sheets ( guideline, incl. Bode100 diagnostics, inspection sheets test level)

The updated guideline electrical test and levels have be reviewed. The QC tests include the impedance measurement before/after impregnation for reference data collection. This is done after splicing stage.

Monitoring of impregnation though capacitance measurement with connection to leads and inner former/outer tube and double BNC connector feedthroughs in vacuum chamber. F.O P will check components for implementation.

The hi pot testing after inner layer winding is to be confirmed by F.O P.

The draft new versions of QC electrical guideline and test sheet shall be distributed by F.O P

 

• Information on vacuum pressure impregnation station preparation (VI)

There is no specific need of additional commissioning dummy test on the VPI station.

three more K thermo sensors on inner surface of inner former shall be installed. Discusison on way to install using aluminim tape, kapton insulation tape cap with applied pressure. VI shall discuss with Ahmed B. to implement the sensor installation installation.

• Open items, Ancillaries:

The fiber glass rolls should be delivered. VI will check the delivery

After receiving and accepting the G11 pieces from central workshop, the person in change of winding will inspect the pieces.

All pieces manufactured and completed at B180 including the end plates will be requested by VI.

• Winding & impregnation procedure, MIP update, release

AF shown the winding MIP template with baseline control points. The reference names of applicable latest procedures versions will be added by VI for our approval.

F.O P mentioned that he will check if beeper can be improved to be sensitive to higher resistance shorts.

Depending on delivery of liquid P.I, the associated repair option will be tested on defectuous SC strand. If not qualified on time, the more common adhesive Kapton tape will be used.

• End of MCBRDP4 magnet assembly available to SM18 by end of May 2022
