REMOTE TREX meeting
TREX 06-04-2022 Preliminary minutes (zoom meeting recorded by FSG)
- Matter arising - VELO discussion (LMC request - likely end of week 15 or beginning of 16)
Totem PPS
- Totem PPS status presented by Joachim
- Readiness of the available detector installation - OK
- Not complete spectrometer installed (3/4 of Si-Pixels installed).
- Reparation of the Si-pixel ongoing (wire bond thermo-mechanical stress issue).
- Reinstallation by TS1 May 2022
- Alignment run to be seen
Q-FSG - How long would take the May installation
A-JB - 2.5days based on the experience (installation and connection of all the services)
Q-JS Alignment of the XRPs is only related to the detector package or full pot units?
A-JB To be seen based on the beam position, but it is possible. Standard approach will apply (x-rays of the VMs)
Q-MBM Next YETS planning?
A-JB - No special request on the top of the standard maintenance.
AFP ALPHA
- ARP status presented by Ivan Lopez.
- ALPHA ready for 2022 commissioning.
- AFP with new detector packages, TOF detector upgraded.
- Motherboard replacement strategy - during YETS if necessary (1-2 per day);
- New design of the AFP pot allows to intervene on PMT without breaking the secondary vacuum.
C-JS the same x-rays strategy as for Totem PPS applies.
C-MR - Slides missing on then INDICO
ZDC
- ZDC status presented by Sorina.
- Activities are foreseen for TS2.
- Installation of the ZDC before high intensity run.
Q-MBM - TS activities are for special TS LHCb or TS2
A-SP - Activities foreseen TS2 - September 2022
SND
- Installation of the SND presented by Pablo.
- Detector and infrastructure ready.
- Commissioning ongoing, accesses during the TS foreseen.
Q-FSG - Emulsion bricks are still empty.
A-PSD - Will be installed tomorrow.
ZDC-RPD
- Comprehensive status of the ATLAS ZDC presented by Riccardo Longo.
- Services ready for Run3.
- Installation foreseen TS before the heavy ion run (September 2022?)
C-FSG - Detailed discussion is needed (Francisco will organize this one).
C-MR - Documentation should be uploaded to ATLAS repository.
A-RL - It will be corrected.
Q-SP - ZDC team should be on the loop of these activities to avoid any schedule issues.
A-FSG - TREX will include the ZDC team on the loop.
BRAN
- No comment / feedback provided at the moment.
FASER
- Status of the Faser provided by Brian.
- All YETS foreseen installation activities completed.
- Special access for FASERnu box replacement scheduled for July 18th 2022.
- Removal of the final box during the TS.
- No activities for the YETS at the moment.
Q - FSG - Is the special access coordinated with Jorg?
