Emidio communicates the creation of two mailing list : web site support and emi-events, Andrea is inserted in the web site support, Pina in emi-events. Emidio says that he asked to the EMI PO of adding a joint activity about training, PO accepted the proposal and will insert it in the EMI-EGI MoU v6.
--TNA2.3 Emidio asks Kathryn about the status of DNA2.2.1, Kathryn says that she is including last comments and will circulate a new version by tomorrow. Emidio communicates he's got from SA2 a list of links where product teams documentation can be gathered, and reccomends to familiarize with them as they could be a good starting point for creation of tutorials. The links are https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/EMI/QAR1#Minimum_Documentation_Requiremen https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/EMI/EMTSrcTemplate#SrcLinks

Pina communicates she going to provide a 0.1 version of DNA2.3.1 by the end of the week.
Pina suggests to participate to ISC'11 and provide further details : reports that contacts with the ISC11 organizer have occurred. In particular the request of a booth for EMI for the next edition has been sent. Now awaiting for confirmation. The cost of the sole empty spot is 2,400 Euro. Costs should increase if considering the furniture’s and eventual monitor and other facilities. The event will take place in Hamburg in June from the 20th to 22th. She believe it is worth make this investment as the occasion is a good one to meet all prime actors of main European projects, DCI’s and Commercial Enterprises, and says that Should she receive a confirmation of acceptance, she will get back to the NA2 list and start working together to make the best out of it. I reported that UNICORE and EGI are already booked as well, so probably a close interaction with them should occur in order to have a triple visibility if some of our materials could be exhibited in their booth as well. Farid suggests to ask the colleagues from NorduGrid and Unicore who have already experienced the participation to the previous events and find out with them which could be the hints for a more successful participation for EMI. Farid asks for a promise to make a concrete success out of this experience and Pina replied that this is the intention, but of course none of us can at this point of the organization and of the project confirm that it will really be so. Pina thinks that a success can be considered to get in touch with major actors of other projects, big enterprises, possible future users of our product; it is a success to collect as many contacts as possible in order to start serious collaborations. But in order to achieve new contacts and relations it’s not sufficient to exhibit posters or to spread out brochures. We need to contact some prime actors “before” the event and invite them to our booth to assist to a demo, to a presentation that technically explains why our product is better, which are the benefit that one can get from using it. This means that I do need the support of technical people to be at the booth and talk with people. Besides the exhibition booth, another way to be present at the event is the participation to the conference that takes place along with the exhibition. This takes place on 19-23 June and some calls are already out. It would be able to apply for a paper, a poster or other, in order to have some technical people present in the scientific program as well. I will soon send a mail to the all-members list, to allow interested people to apply. Pina suggest also, given the intention to have next all hands meeting in Germany, that organizing this immediatly after or before ISC'11 could make easier having some EMI's technical representative in ISC'11.
About SC'11, Pina reports that for the organization of this event there is a little more time and, should we be able to attend the Hamburg event successfully, we can use the same strategy. A request for a booth has been sent to the organizer. A reply is expected for January, she will inform the NA2 team as soon she receives the response.
--TNA2.4 & 2.5 Emidio asks Ivan about the status of DNA2.4.1; Ivan says that Peter has uploaded v0.5 but it would need some input. Ivan proposes to have a on-line brain storming session, given the availability expressed from technical management persons in Prague.
-- Actions : Emidio : Ask PEB about availability of persons for a brainstorming session on Sustainability. Ask PEB about having next AHM in conjunction with ISC'11 and someone's availability for demo or technical conference.
