In August 2020 a Working Group (WG) on Sterilisation of Tools and Workplaces was set up within the CERN against COVID Task Force. The WG reviewed a number of CERN use cases and assessed the various technologies commercially available to sterilise air, surfaces and tools, which were summarised in a memo to the management in April 2022. At the same time, experimental activities were conducted to assess the sterilisation properties of UVC light and electron beams. The seminar will briefly review the findings of the WG and report on the experimental results.
