Description
In type-III seesaw the generation of a lepton asymmetry proceeds via the dynamics of Majorana electroweak triplets. In this talk I will discuss the importance of flavor effects in this type of models, in particular the impact that such effects can have for TeV-scale triplets. I will show that as long as the asymmetry is produced by the
dynamics of the lightest triplet flavor effects are negligible, but open the possibility for scenarios in which the asymmetry is produced
above the TeV scale by heavier states, readily surviving the TeV
related washouts. Possible experimental tests of these scenarios are
also discussed.
