MDI engineering aspects at ILC and CLIC 1h
MDI studies have started at ILC for which the concept of push-pull has been developed. MDI studies for CLIC have directly profited of a kick-start from what had been done for ILC. However, for CLIC MDI studies, more emphasis had to be put on alignment and QD0 spacial stability to meet the more stringent CLIC beam parameters at IP. This has a strong influence for the design of the detectors in the forward region and it also conditions the design of the experimental area. The present ideas of the CLIC MDI working group will be presented. - Alain Hervé (ETH Zürich)
