MINUTE 55 :

TCC:

  • Order to Julabo for a new chiller bath with control box allowing CEM to monitor and extract data
  • Arriving 19th november
  • Do not touch in any case the TCC because we need the data of LS2 collimators (TCSPM and TCPPM). Jean Marc is checking for updating the software part and Christophe possesses few additional thermocouples
  • TCC rack assembled

Design:

  • DN300 flanges with pinch-off
  • Jaw flatness measurement tool -> give the CDD to Dylan for the tooling list
  • TCLP, TCSPM, TCTPM folders
  • Post-proto modifications regarding Dylan’s Excel
  • Shims for IP1 or taller feets
  • Cover update regarding CZ5
  • Switch integration

Feets structural check:

  • Structurally good if we applied the appropriated torque on tightening screws (check attached document to INDICO)
  • Put the torque in the installation procedure (Dylan)

Jaw assembly:

  • 1 design for the back plate instead of 2 for the protos
  • Drilling of the guiding plates hard in the side of the cooling -> check for a solution quickly
  • Tapering correction : the as-built modification during the assembly phase when blocks will be available

Absorber materials update:

  • Blocks arriving mid-November then metrology and TT

VSC:

  • Combitac connectors around 10kCHF/ unit – this is expensive – Tests of the homemade connector by Luca to test, this is maybe a tricky connector – Last possibility is connection by robots.
  • Check an arrangement between STI and VSC to order one time for all the components

Production:

  • The impact of the cooling pipe has been measured at 0.028mm at a point where the thickness is 1.4mm, the total thickness at this point is 1.1mm, there is a factor 2
  • Tanks cleaned
  • 4 DN300 flanges ok but 2 has a 0.2mm radius instead of 0.1mm but this is not a functional issue
  • RF screen rail to electroolishing

RF fingers tests:

  • The first RF fingers breaks during tests (may be due to the plastic deformation on the extremity finger)
  • To avoid this: Be sure that we have Rhodium on the guiding, reduce the length of the RF fingers, reduce the number of fingers, improve the centering of the fingers on the jaws
  • The stroke on the test bench is not good: check to change it, possibility to increase the stroke for TCLPX?

Screws:

  • We now have 4x3 screws: Rollvis, Schaeffler, Ewellix -> Received

Graphite tapering:

  • Received: the taperings may be used for copper coating tests for TCSPM

Update on planning:

  • CuCD blocks for beginning of December

Update for the serie:

  • Put the initial version of stiffeners and back plate
  • Enlarge these parts to give more space for the cooling
