WP5.2 - TCLPX/TCTPXH Prototypes Production Follow-up

MINUTE 56: 

TCC:

• Arriving 18th november – Meeting for installation and course to use it to defind 
• Waiting for Jean-Marc updates on soft and to get back the date from TCSPM LS2
• PT100 connectors installed – Régis will check to order the tubes connectors 

Design:

• DN300 flanges with pinch-off: waiting the CDD from VSC 
• Jaw flatness measurement tool -> give the CDD to Dylan for the tooling list
• TCLP, TCSPM, TCTPM folders: not started 
• Post-proto modifications regarding Dylan’s Excel: ongoing for jaws, done for mechanical table
• Shims for IP1 or taller feets: ongoing
• Cover update regarding CZ5: ?
• Switch integration: ongoing
• TCTPXV review and modifications for serie: will be reviewed WP5.2 14^th of November 
• Mechanical table procedure: ongoing 
• Gabarit for cooling pipes production: ongoing, wait for comments 
• Extremity RF fingers new design (ok regarding stress to reduce length): not started 
• Copper wedges for jaws posing during vacuum test (STI)

Feets structural check:

• Structurally good if we applied the appropriated torque on tightening screws (check attached document to INDICO from 7^th October)
• Put the torque in the installation procedure (Dylan)

Jaw assembly:

• TCLPX under vacuum test: preliminary results showing good pumping (even with the black marks) and good temperature of the blocks – no residual water 
• Drilling of the guiding plates hard in the side of the cooling -> check for a solution for protos
• TCTPXH disassembly next week – Carlotta would like to take pictures for analysis 

Absorber materials update:

• Blocks arriving mid-November then metrology and TT
• Check ongoing by Carlotta for a tomography of the blocks 

VSC:

• No Combitac for protos and serie production
• VSC orderer the required male and femelle Fischer connectors: reception date in January to confirm 

Production MME: 

• Tanks under cleaning, waiting for metrology results
• RF screen rail electropolished, waiting for metrology 
• LHCTCLPX__0142 transition support ongoing

Production STI: 

• Jaw flatness measurement tool: ongoing
• Levelling parts: ongoing
• Remaining feets components: ongoing
• Adaptation for vireur: ongoing
• Transitions and pinch-off: not started
• TCC rack: done
• Lifting ears: not started

RF fingers tests: 

• The first RF fingers breaks during tests (may be due to the plastic deformation on the extremity finger)
• To avoid this: Be sure that we have Rhodium on the guiding, reduce the length of the RF fingers, reduce the number of fingers, improve the centering of the fingers on the jaws, the space between rhodium guides
• The stroke on the test bench is not good: check to change it, possibility to increase the stroke for TCLPX?

Screws: 

• We now have 4x3 screws: Rollvis, Schaeffler, Ewellix -> Sent to irradiation after first phase of cycling

Update on planning: 

• Tomography duration 

Update for the serie:

• Check for a modification of the guiding plates regarding the trivial process for protos
